Colm O'Gorman
delivers key note speech to WCFE students
On January
20th, Colm O'Gorman, Executive Director of Amnesty
International, adressed a group of 200 students,
staff and friends of the College in a talk that
was candid, informative and inspiring. Addressing
a broad range of topics which included education,
child protection, the church, cross-cultural relationships
and the recent crisis in Haiti, Colm opened his
talk by telling students that no question was out
of bounds, and throughout the hour and a half of
his lecture encouraged them to see the power of
individual activism: 'If you feel outraged by something,'
he said, 'get involved - do something about it!'
