Olympic Trainers in WCFE

Waterford College of Further Education has been selected as the national 'go to' centre of excellence in Ultrasound therapy. Everald Edwards, masseur to Usain Bolt and Shaun Kettle, physiotherapist to Yohan Blake, recently visited the College to receive training in Ultrasound. The two are in Ireland for one week with the Realta Clinic, Carlow, to train in various therapy modalities. WCFE was chosen due to the reputation of its sports injury management courses and Ultrasound facilities. A new partnership with the internationally renowned Realta Clinic is under development, which may see further involvement by the College in the development of skills for Olympic therapists.
